Ethereal could be described as a time-based, robotic drawing performance.

During culture night Belfast Ethereal was installed in DAS building in the centre of the city. Glow-in-the-dark substance painted onto translucent screens were hung to the large windows. Using a robotic pan-tilt setup and an array of ultraviolet laser pointers a continually adapting drawing appeared, faded and eventually disappeared as photon energy dissipated from the surface.
